NIRF 2023 Rankings Out: IIT Madras At Top For 5th Consecutive Year, Miranda House Top Among Colleges

NIRF Ranking 2023 Is Out: The prestigious ranking system evaluates institutions based on various parameters, including teaching, learning, research, and overall performance.

The National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF) 2023 rankings were announced by the Ministry of Education on Monday, with IIT Madras continuing its dominance as the top "overall" category in the country for the fifth consecutive year. IISc Bengaluru has bagged the second spot in the overall category followed by IIT Delhi. The prestigious ranking system evaluates institutions based on various parameters, including teaching, learning, research, and overall performance. IIT Madras also continues to be the top engineering institution for the 8th consecutive year in the latest released Ministry of Education's NIRF 2023 rankings.

IISc Bengaluru has ranked as the best University followed by Jawahar Lal Nehru University and Jamia Millia Islamia as per the latest NIRF 2023 University rankings.

In the category of colleges, Miranda House secured the top position, reaffirming its reputation as one of the premier institutions for undergraduate education in India. Delhi University's Hindu College bagged the second spot followed by Presidency College, Chennai at the third in the NIRF 2023 rankings.

Meanwhile, IIM Ahmedabad, renowned for its management programs, was recognized as the best business school in the country. With its rigorous curriculum, world-class faculty, and strong industry connections, IIM Ahmedabad continues to shape future business leaders.

The Indian Institute of Science (IISc) Bengaluru, known for its research contributions, was ranked as the best institute for research, followed closely by IIT Madras. 

IIT Kanpur emerged as the top institute for innovation, showcasing its commitment to fostering an entrepreneurial ecosystem and promoting cutting-edge research and development. IIT Madras and IIT Hyderabad secured the second and third positions, respectively, in this category.

Among the engineering institutions, IIT Madras retained the top spot for the eighth consecutive year. IIT Delhi and IIT Bombay have been ranked second and third, respectively in the category.
