SCs To Get 20% Reservation For Promotion In Group A, B Govt Jobs, Announces Haryana CM Khattar

The SCs will get a reservation of 20 per cent in promotion in Group A and B government jobs in Haryana.

Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar on Monday announced that Scheduled Caste employees will now get a reservation for promotion in Group A and B government jobs. The SCs will get a reservation of 20 per cent in promotion, announed the CM during the session of Haryana Assembly.  "Chief Minister Shri @mlkhattar made a big announcement during the Vidhansabha session that Scheduled Castes will get reservation in promotion in Group A and B category government jobs. He has announced 20 percent reservation for Scheduled Castes in promotion," the state government said in a post on X. 

The development comes after Khattar had announced reservation in government jobs for SC employees in February this year. He had said that the quota will be fixed within three months after identifying all such cadres. 

The Chief Minister had also announced that families belonging to the Scheduled Caste who wish to set up small and micro industries would get 20 per cent discount on purchase of land who were earlier getting 10 per cent reservation for the same.
