MP Elections 2023: Congress Promises To Waive Fees For Job Recruitment Exams

MP Assembly Elections 2023: The Madhya Pradesh Congress promised to fill two lakh vacant positions.

Bhopal: Congress Leader and Former Union Minister Pradeep Jain Aditya has announced a fee waiver for Government Job Recruitment Exams in Madhya Pradesh if the party wins in the upcoming State Elections on November 17, as reported by PTI. Jain claimed that over one crore unemployed youth reside in Madhya Pradesh, with only 40 lakh of them currently registered with the government during a press conference.

The BJP government in the state has collected more than Rs 100 crore as fees for recruitment exams from the poor job aspirants during the last 10 years, he further said.

Jain further claimed that over the past 18 years, a staggering 17,298 unemployed youth tragically took their own lives in the state. In a significant move, the Congress has committed to a full waiver of fees for government job recruitment exams if elected to power, Jain said.

He also pledged that the intentionally withheld results of government recruitment exams would be promptly disclosed, with the establishment of a commission to investigate these delayed outcomes.

Moreover, Jain announced the party's intent to transition from online to offline government job exams to combat the various recruitment exam scams, result withholding, and paper leaks that have significantly contributed to the unemployment crisis in Madhya Pradesh.

Highlighting examples such as the Vyapam scam and the irregularities in the recruitment of constables and 'patwari' (revenue department staffers), Jain argued that these issues have severely marred the state's reputation.

2 Lakh Jobs Promised

Under the leadership of Kamal Nath, the Madhya Pradesh Congress has promised to address the issue of unemployment. Party's commitment includes filling two lakh vacant positions and generating a minimum of one lakh job opportunities for rural youth.

The Congress's manifesto acknowledges the dire unemployment situation, estimating that over two crore young individuals are without employment, including a substantial number with valuable skills. To remedy this, the party plans to offer job-focused diploma courses in areas such as agriculture, animal husbandry, and fisheries as part of the school curriculum.
