Indian Army SSC Tech Recruitment 2024: Apply For 381 Posts By February 21 - See Details

Candidates shortlisted for the Indian Army SSC Tech Recruitment 2024 will be detailed for training at officers training academy, Chennai, for a duration of 49 weeks.

The Indian Army has started inviting applications for its 63rd Short Service Commission (SSC) Tech Men, and the 34th SSC Tech Women course. Interested and eligible candidates who wish to apply for the recruitment drive can submit their registration cum application forms for the recruitment on the official website - joinindianarmy.nic.in. The last date to submit applications for the recruitment is February 21, 2024. Before applying for the recruitment though, candidates are advised to go through the detailed eligibility criteria. 

Notably, the Indian Army is conducting the recruitment drive to induct a total of 381 SSC officers in the Indian Armed Forces. Among the total 381 vacancies, 350 vacancies are for SSC (Tech) men, 29 for SSC (Tech) women, and two for widows of defence personnel. The Indian Army notified the recruitment drive through an official notification today. 

To apply for the Indian Army SSC Tech Recruitment 2024, interested candidates must have completed their relevant engineering degree or should be in the final year of their undergraduate engineering programmes. Moreover, male and female candidates applying for the Indian Army SSC Tech Recruitment 2024, must be aged between  20 to 27 years as of October 1, 2024. However, widows of Indian armed forces defence personnel aged up to 35 years can apply for the recruitment.

Candidates shortlisted for the recruitment shall be detailed for training at officers training academy, Chennai, for a duration of 49 weeks. “Selected candidates will be detailed for training at Officers Training Academy, Chennai according to their position in the final order of merit (engineering stream-wise) up to the number of available vacancies and subject to meeting all eligibility criteria,” reads the official notice. 

“Selected candidates will be granted Short Service Commission on probation in the rank of Lieutenant from the date of commencement of the course or the date of reporting at Pre-Commissioning Training Academy (PCTA), whichever is later and will be entitled to full pay and allowances admissible to Lieutenant during training period. Pay & allowances will be paid after successful completion of training. On successful completion of Pre Commission training at PCTA, Officers will be confirmed Short Service Commission (Technical) in the rank of Lieutenant,” the notice reads further.
