India Post GDS Recruitment 2023: Registrations For Over 40,000 Vacancies Underway, Apply Before February 16

The last date to apply for the India Post GDS Recruitment 2023 is February 16, 2023. Applications are to be submitted online on indiapostgdsonline.com.

The online registration cum application process for the India Post GDS Recruitment 2023 is underway. Interested candidates can apply for the recruitment on the official India Post portal - indiapostgdsonline.com. Applications are to be submitted in the online mode only. 

Notably, India Post released the notification to fill up 40,889 GDS vacancies in January this year. The department started inviting applications for the recruitment drive from January 27 onwards. The last date to register for the Indian Post GDS Recruitment 2023 is February 16, 2023. The minimum age limit to apply for the recruitment is 18 years and the upper age limit is capped at 40 years. 

Following the closure of the application procedure, candidates will also be able to edit their application forms from February 17 to February 19. The shortlisting of candidates for the GDS or Gramin Dak Sevak posts will be done through a system-generated merit list. The merit list will be prepared considering the marks obtained by candidates in their qualifying Class 10 Exams. Following the declaration of India Post GDS Merit List 2023, selected candidates will be further called for further document verification procedure. 

As per the official recruitment notification released by India Post, GDS or Gramin Dak Sevaks are holders of civil posts but they are outside the regular Civil Services of the Union of India and are governed by GDS (Conduct and Engagement) Rules, 2020.

India Post GDS Recruitment 2023: Eligibility Criteria

  • Candidates must have passed secondary school examination or Class 10th with Mathematics and English as Compulsory or Elective subjects from a recognized board or university
  • Candidates must have studied the local language at least up to secondary standard as compulsory or elective subjects
  • Other qualifications include knowledge of computer, knowledge of cycling, and adequate means of livelihood

  • Register yourself on the portal

  • Submit the application form
  • Download the application confirmation page for reference
