On Tuesday, the Bihar government made an announcement stating that eligible candidates from all states can now apply for teaching jobs in government-run schools in Bihar. This decision marks a reversal of the previous rule that restricted applicants with Bihar domicile to apply for teaching positions in the state's government-run schools. With the new policy, candidates from any state can now be considered for teaching jobs in Bihar's government schools.
The state cabinet in Bihar on May 2 approved a proposal to recruit 1.78 lakh teachers for primary, middle, and upper classes in government schools. The proposal included the recruitment of 85,477 primary teachers, 1,745 middle school teachers, and 90,804 teachers for upper classes.
The Bihar Public Service Commission (BPSC) has been entrusted with the responsibility of conducting the recruitment process. A senior official from the state government has mentioned that they expect the recruitment process to be completed by the end of this year.
