IIT Gandhinagar PhD Admissions 2024: Applications Underway On iitgn.ac.in - Check Details

Candidates will be able to apply for IIT Gandhinagar PhD Admissions 2024 till March 20, 2024.

The Indian Institute of Technology Gandhinagar (IIT Gandhinagar) has started the registration process for IIT Gandhinagar PhD Admissions 2024. Interested and eligible candidates who wish to apply for admissions can submit their registration cum application forms on the official website - iitgn.ac.in. The last date to apply for IIT Gandhinagar PhD Admissions 2024 is March 20, 2024. 

Notably, the IIT Gandhinagar is offering PhD programmes in a variety of subjects like Cognitive and Brain Sciences, Computer Science & Engineering and Artificial Intelligence, Biological Sciences and Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Civil Engineering, Earth Sciences, Earth System Science, Electrical Engineering, Humanities & Social Sciences and Society & Culture, Materials Engineering, Mathematics and Physics.

Candidates must note that the shortlisting of candidates for admissions shall be done based on a written exam and interviews. However, only those candidates who will be provisionally selected will be called for the written exam and interview. As per the official schedule, the IIT Gandhinagar PhD 2024 provisional list will be released in April while the written exams shall be held from April 8 to April 22, 2024 The IIT Gandhinagar PhD Admission Final Result 2024 is slated to be released on May 15, 2024.

To apply for the IIT Gandhinagar PhD Admissions 2024, interested candidates may note that they must have scored a minimum aggregate of 55% or 5.5 CPI marks in their qualifying exams at the graduate or postgraduate level like MA or MSc, BTech or MTech or BS (IISc, IISER) or BS-MS (IISER), relevant to the postdoctoral field of study at IIT Gandhinagar. 

The IIT Gandhinagar will also provide support to meritorious students who enrol in its PhD programmes. As per the official announcement, the institute will also provide financial assistance of up to Rs 2 lakh is available for full time students for presenting their research work at international conferences. A financial support of of up to US $12,500 may be considered for full time PhD students for doing research work at the top universities or labs abroad for a period of 4 to 6 months.
