DU Admission 2021: Second Cut-off List Of UG Admissions To Be Out Today, Check Details

DU 2nd Cut-off 2021: The second cut-off list for UG admission will be released today. Candidates will have to apply for admission under the second cut-off list between October 11 and 13, 2021.

Delhi University (DU) is releasing the second cut-off list for admission to undergraduate (UG) courses today, October 9, 2021. All colleges will release their individual cut-off list for various courses and a consolidated list will be released by the university.

If students take admission in a college in the first cut-off list and qualify for more preferred colleges in the second list, they will first have to withdraw their admission from the college and apply to the second. The date of the final fifth cut-off list listed so far by the university is November 8. The list will be released if seats are available.

The first cut-off list was released on October 1.
In the first cut-off list released by the university on October 1, seven colleges had sought 100 per cent marks to admit students in 10 programs. Last year, only one college Lady Shri Ram (LSR), issued a 100 per cent cutoff for three courses.

Admissions to many top programs can be closed only after the first list
This year the cut-off of 94 programs of all colleges is 99 per cent or more. Du has received more than 9,200 applications with 100 per cent from various school boards this year due to increased board results. Therefore, it is expected that admissions to many top programs may be closed only after the first list.

These programs have full seats in Hindu college
Hindu colleges will not admit to political science, history, Hindi and some other programs, including most of the science programs included in the second list. Principal Anju Srivastava said almost all unreserved category courses in the second cut-off list will remain closed. Prof. Srivastava told PTI, "We will stop admission to political science (honours), history (honours), Hindi (honours), BA program, philosophy (honours), etc. and almost all science courses. I think we will have only seats left in BA (Honours) Economics and BCom (Honours). “

Miranda House filled all seats in political science, chemistry courses
Miranda House has been ranked as the best college in the country by the Ministry of Education. There will be no second cut-off for political science, chemistry, physics and zoology courses in this college too. However, courses such as sociology, history, economics and some combinations of BA programs will have seats left.
