CA Foundation Exam Postponed: ICAI Reschedules Foundation Examination Paper-1; Check Dates, Venue, Timings

ICAI on Monday announced to postpone the Chartered Accountants Foundation Examination paper-1 that was scheduled to be held on December 8.

Institute of Chartered Accountants of India on Monday announced to postpone the Chartered Accountants Foundation Examination paper-1 that was scheduled to be held on December 8. As per the latest development, the examination will now be held on December 13. In an official notice issued today, the examination department of the ICAI stated that "due to unavoidable circumstances, the Chartered Accountants Foundation Examination, Paper-1, Principles and Practice of Accounting scheduled to be held on 8th December 2020, from 2 pm to 5 pm stands rescheduled." The aforementioned examination shall now be held on 13th December 2020 at the same venue(s) and timings i.e., 2 pm to 5 pm, the statement further read.

The institute said that admit cards already issued would remain valid for the rescheduled date however the schedule of the examination notified vide Notification No.13-CA(Exam)/N/2020 dated 21st August 2020 shall remain unchanged. Meanwhile, the candidates appearing for the CA foundation examination Paper-1 are advised to stay in touch and keep checking the official website of the institute -- www.icai.org, for more updates. Earlier this week, the ICAI  released a new notification for candidates whose exam centers are in Covid-19 Containment Zones.  As per the latest notification, candidates whose CA November 2020 exam centers fall in Containment Zones may submit their concerns on the official website - icai.org. for the attention of Examination Department.
