Noida Expected To Witness Traffic Snarl As Farmers To Protest With Tractor March Today: Report
BKU Tikait would travel to the Noida-Delhi boundary with tractors on Monday.
This week, two additional groups of farmers will march from Noida to Delhi under the banners of the Bhartiya Kisan Union (BKU) Tikait and BKU LokShakti, demanding a law ensuring minimum support price (MSP). This comes after two farmers' groups, the Bhartiya Kisan Parishad and the All India Kisan Sabha, conducted protests in the city near NTPC Noida and in front of the Greater Noida Authority headquarters, according to The Times of India's report.
According to TOI's report, BKU Tikait would travel to the Noida-Delhi boundary with tractors on Monday. “We plan to line up tractors from Greater Noida to the Noida side and march along the Yamuna Expressway, moving towards the Chilla border via the Noida Expressway,” BKU Tikait president (West UP) Pawan Khatana was quoted as saying by TOI in its report.

Khatana stated that farmers from several areas will gather at Greater Noida's toll plaza. Speaking with TOI, Khatana stated: "From there we will proceed towards Noida's Chilla border." He further stated that farmers from Noida can directly hit the Noida-Greater Noida Expressway.
In a video circulating on Whatsapp, Khatana stated: “On the call of BKU Tikait head Rakesh Tikait and Samyukt Kisan Morcha (SKM), we have decided to organise a tractor march on the Yamuna Expressway. We plan to line tractors up on the Greater Noida to Noida side of the expressway and march towards Noida. We will maintain discipline during the march," as per HT's report.

Speaking with TOI, DCP (traffic) Anil Kumar Yadav stated that he has yet to get information on the farmers' intended protest. “We will make arrangements once they share the information of their protest,” he said.
