'Suspicious' Bag Triggers Panic At New Delhi Railway Station, No Explosives Found
Panic at New Delhi Railway Station over a "suspicious" bag containing blast simulation balls used for defence training. The bomb squad confirmed no threat, and the situation is under control.
Panic ensued at the New Delhi Railway Station on Friday when a "suspicious" bag discovered in a garbage bin caused a bomb scare, officials reported. A bomb disposal team was quickly dispatched to examine the bag, which was found to contain no explosives. Instead, the bag held two blast simulation balls used for defence training, which are non-lethal and contain no significant explosive material. The police received the report about the unclaimed bag on the Ajmeri Gate side of the station around 6:30 pm, news agency PTI reported.
According to PTI, both the police and the bomb squad checked the suspicious bag and confirmed it posed no threat.

As per ANI, the Police also assured no panic-like atmosphere and stated that all SOPs are being followed at the spot. Further, it will be handed over to National Security Guard (NSG).
Some suspected objects were found in the garbage area at the New Delhi Railway station, Paharganj side. The same was checked by BDS, no explosive was detected by them and there is no threat. Bomb Found On Vistara Flight To Srinagar Defused
In another instance, a Vistara flight bound for Srinagar, carrying 177 passengers and one infant, received a bomb threat on Friday. Soon after the threat swift action was taken by the airline and security forces. Flight UK-611, which departed from Delhi landed safely at Srinagar Airport at approximately 12:10 AM.
Officials present at the airport stated that after the security protocol, CISF evacuated the aircraft immediately after its arrival and conducted a thorough search of the aircraft and its surroundings.
"All passengers were safely de-boarded at the isolation bay. The aircraft is currently undergoing a thorough security check by the relevant authorities to ensure the safety of all concerned," an airport official told ANI.
Despite the disruption, all passengers are reported to be safe, and the situation is being handled with the utmost priority to ensure their security.
