The elections, held in seven phases from April 19 to June 1, saw widespread participation across the nation. According to officials, the vote counting will occur at seven locations throughout the city. In northeast Delhi, the counting will be conducted at ITI Nand Nagri.

Consequently, traffic movement on the stretch from Gagan Cinema T-Point to Nand Nagri Flyover on Wazirabad Road (Mangal Pandey Road) will be restricted starting from 5 am. Traffic diversions will be implemented at the Bhopura border, Tahirpur T-point, and Gagan Cinema T-Point, with Wazirabad Road being closed to general traffic from 5 am onwards.

For east Delhi, the counting will take place at the Commonwealth Games Village, Akshardham. Similar traffic restrictions will be in place from 5 am in this area. The advisory emphasises the importance of smooth traffic management, urging commuters to plan their journeys in advance and opt for alternate routes.

“Commuters from Sarai Kale Khan/MGM side towards NH-24 should head towards Akshardham Flyover and proceed via Pusta Road/ITO/Vikas Marg to reach their destinations,” the advisory stated. “Those travelling from ITO/Pusta Road side should come up to Akshardham Flyover in front of Akshardham Temple and continue on NH-24 to reach their destinations towards Delhi.”

The advisory also requested cooperation from the public, urging them to avoid or bypass the restricted roads and to maximise the use of public transport to ensure a safe journey. “People are requested to cooperate by avoiding these roads if possible and to make maximum use of public transport to ensure a safe journey,” the advisory added. “Those travelling towards ISBT, railway stations, or airports should plan their travel carefully, allowing sufficient time to avoid any inconvenience.”
