Delhi Weather Update: Respite From Scorching Heat Likely With Rainfall Prediction
The national capital witnessed gusty winds blowing across the city at a speed of 30-50 kilometres per hour. Delhi-NCR and its adjoining areas are expected to receive light rainfall.
Delhiites on Wednesday woke up to dust-carrying gusty winds with a speed of 30-50 Kilometres per hour blowing across the city. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) predicted that light rainfall is expected in the national capital and its adjoining areas. Citizens are expected to see some relief as Delhi has been burning for the past few days with the temperature soaring well above 40 Deg Celsius. This change in weather is expected due to a western disturbance effect in Jammu and Kashmir which will impact North East India region, North East Rajasthan, and Delhi's weather as well.
A local weather station took to Twitter to inform, "24/05/2023: 07:15 IST; Light intensity rain/drizzle and gusty winds with speed of 30-50 Km/h would occur over and adjoining areas of isolated places of North Delhi, North-East Delhi ( Burari, Model Town, Karawal Nagar), NCR ( Loni Dehat, Hindon AF Station, Ghaziabad)."
