'Delhi Services Ordinance Brought After Threat Of ED, CBI Failed': CM Kejriwal Slams BJP-Led Centre
CM Kejriwal alleged that the ''democratic rights of the people of Delhi were trampled through the ordinance and the bill''.
Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal blasted the BJP-led Centre on Friday, saying the ordinance on services resulted from money, power and the fear of the ED and the CBI failing in the national capital, news agency PTI reported. In an address to the Assembly, he also stated that the BJP had introduced the ''Sanghi'' model of democracy through the Services Bill, and that the 2024 Lok Sabha elections will be contested over complete statehood for the national capital.
CM Kejriwal alleged that the ''democratic rights of the people of Delhi were trampled through the ordinance and the bill''.
"The BJP government at the center took away the rights of the people of Delhi by enacting a law. But I assure the people of Delhi that I will get back your rights, we will not let the work of Delhi stop under any circumstances," he stated.
https://t.co/BqiSLUUOxm

''There are several styles of democratic systems like the Westminister style and parliamentary style. These people (BJP) have brought the Sanghi style of democracy through this bill,'' he was quoted by PTI in its report.
''The ordinance on services matter was brought because money power and the threat of the ED and the CBI had failed in Delhi,'' he added.
Kejriwal further said that someone from the BJP recently threatened him, stating, ''We will make you kneel down''.
''But I want to tell them that no power can make Kejriwal and the two crore people of Delhi bow down,'' he said.
