All Cases Against Manish Sisodia, Satyendar Jain Will Be Dropped If...: Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal

Arvind Kejriwal claimed that the BJP wants to stop the work of Delhi by arresting our ministers in false cases.

New Delhi: Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Wednesday said if Manish Sisodia and Satyendar Jain join BJP, they will walk free tomorrow. CM Kejriwal attacked Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and claimed that the BJP wants to stop the work of Delhi by arresting our ministers in false cases. "They want to stop AAP. Ever since we won Punjab, they can't stand us. Corruption is not the issue. The motive was to stop the good work done by the ministers. If Manish Sisodia joins the BJP, won't he be free by tomorrow?" Kejriwal said.

"Their agenda is to stop the work... I assure the people of Delhi that this will not happen," he told reporters this evening.

Manish Sisodia, who was handling 18 of the total 33 departments in the Delhi government, was arrested on Sunday evening by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) in the Delhi liquor policy case. Satyendar Jain, currently lodged in Tihar jail, was arrested by the Enforcement Directorate in last May in connection with a money laundering case.

The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) divided the portfolio list on Tuesday between its leaders, Kailash Gahlot and Raaj Kumar Anand, just hours after Delhi ministers Manish Sisodia and Satyendar Jain resigned, reported news agency ANI. Minister Kailash Gahlot has been given Finance, Planning, Public works dept, Power, Home, Urban Development, Irrigation & flood Control and Water departments.

Raj Kumar Anand will look after the Education, Land & Building, Vigilance, Services, Tourism, Art Culture & Language, Labour, Employment, Health and Industries departments.
