UP: Body Dragged By Its Legs At Autopsy Centre In Jhansi, Police Launch Probe As Video Surfaces

In the nine-second viral video, two men were seen dragging the body by a cloth that had been tied to the legs, while entering the autopsy facility.

A horrifying video showing two men dragging a body by its legs while entering the autopsy facility in the Jhansi district of Uttar Pradesh went viral on social media.

NDTV sources indicated that the latest video was taken outside Jhansi Post Mortem House. However, the day of the incident could not be confirmed immediately. 

In the nine-second viral video, two men were seen dragging the body by a cloth that had been tied to the legs, while entering the autopsy facility. Sources also confirmed that both the men are operators of an ambulance.

Investigation Into Video Is Currently In Process: Police 

The Post Mortem House has not yet issued a statement, but Circle Officer Ramvir Singh confirmed that an investigation into the video is currently in progress. "The police have taken note of the video that has gone viral. Two people can be seen dragging a body. We are trying to ascertain the place and time of the video. Further action will be taken on the basis of our probe," Singh added. 

He also mentioned that a case had previously been filed against one of the individuals seen in the video. In that case, the Chief Medical Officer (CMO) of Jhansi had lodged a complaint regarding a video that had gone viral, showing a body being thrown off a vehicle.
