Telangana: Ex-Serviceman Murders Wife, Cooks Chopped Off Body Parts Before Disposing Off Remains
In Telangana's Rangareddy, an ex-serviceman Guru Murthy allegedly murdered his wife Venkata Madhavi, chopped her body parts, cooked them in a pressure cooker, and dumped them in a lake.

In a shocking incident from Telangana's Rangareddy, an ex-serviceman allegedly murdered his wife chopped off her body parts and cooked the remains in a pressure cooker before dumping them in a lake at Jillellaguda, Meerpet.
The brutal crime came to light on Wednesday involving Guru Murthy (45), a former Army personnel and current security guard at the Defence Research and Development Organisation in Kanchanbagh.
Originally hailing from Prakasam district in Andhra Pradesh, Murthy lived with his wife, Venkata Madhavi (35), and their two children in New Venkateshwara Nagar Colony, Meerpet.
According to the police, the couple had frequent arguments leading up to Madhavi’s disappearance on January 18. Murthy informed his wife's family about her disappearance and they filed a missing person complaint with the Meerpet police.
Feigning ignorance, he even assisted the police in their search effort.

However, suspicion grew against Murthy who was eventually detained by the police and confessed to the crime. Investigators later discovered evidence at the crime scene. A case of murder has been registered, and Murthy has been arrested while further investigations are underway.
"A missing case was reported on January 17. In that case, the husband is self-claiming that he killed his wife. We are continuing the investigation," said Deputy Commissioner of Police, LB Nagar, reported ANI.
"As of now, we are not finalizing the death. The husband claimed that he killed his wife with a knife, chopped the body parts, and threw them into the lake. We have to find out the truth, and the investigation is ongoing," the DCP said.
The missing person complaint was filed by the mother of the victim stating that her daughter who had been married thirteen years ago and staying with her husband was missing.
"On the 18th of this month, a lady named Subamma gave a missing complaint that her daughter Madhavi, who got married thirteen years ago with Gurumurthy, a retired army employee and currently working as a security guard in Kanchanbagh, had gone missing," said Nagaraj, Inspector of Police, Meerpet.
A case has been registered and the investigation is underway, he said.
