Noida: Woman Attempts To Kill Online Friend For Refusing To Marry Her, Spikes Drink After Calling Him To Meet

The woman allegedly spiked his drink and then got two of her accomplices to kill him using a sharp weapon. The victim, identified as Dheeraj, is being treated at a hospital.

A woman in Noida allegedly plotted to kill a 21-year-old man after he refused to marry her, police said on Wednesday. The woman had befriended the youth on social media.

She allegedly spiked his drink and then got two of her accomplices to kill him using a sharp weapon. The victim, identified as Dheeraj, is being treated at a hospital, news agency PTI reported.

Rabupura police station in-charge inspector Raghavendra Kumar Singh stated a resident of Ronija village had lodged a report on Tuesday night saying that his son Dheeraj, a BCom student, was called by the woman, Priya, on the morning of December 24, calling him to meet her.

Dheeraj's father Hansraj also said that around six months ago, his son and Priya became friends through social media, following which she came to Greater Noida.

The complainant also alleged that his son was in a car with the woman when she spiked his fruit juice and made him drink it. He further said that two of her friends tried to kill Dheeraj using a sharp weapon.

It was only when some people identified Dheeraj when they saw him unconscious in the car that they informed the police and the matter came to the fore, Hansraj said.

Dheeraj was admitted to the Yatharth Hospital in Greater Noida where he is being treated, PTI reported.

The station in-charge said that a case has been filed against Priya and her two accomplices under several sections, including attempt to murder. An investigation is underway.

In another incident in Uttar Pradesh, five members of a family were found murdered inside a hotel in Lucknow on Wednesday. The accused, identified as Arshad (24), allegedly killed five members of his own family. He has been arrested.

The deceased have been identified as Alia (9), Alshia (19), Aksa (16) and Rahmeen (18), who were all Arshad's sisters. The fifth victim is Asma, who is the mother of the accused, according to police.
