‘My Daughter Should Get Capital Punishment’: Muskan’s Father On Meerut Murder, Mother Makes Emotional Appeal

Muskan’s parents, Kavita and Pramod Rastogi alleged that Sahil manipulated their daughter through these rituals, keeping her under his control and isolating her from her six-year-old daughter.

Muskan Rastogi's father strongly condemned his daughter's actions and urged the judiciary to award her the death penalty to ensure justice for his son-in-law, Saurabh Rajput.

Muskan's father Pramod also disclosed that while on their way to the police station, he stopped the scooter and asked his daughter to confess the truth. When she confessed, Pramod took her to the Police station and asked her to tell the truth to the officials.

" While we were going to the Police station, I stopped the scooter and spoke to her and told her to tell me the truth...then she confessed the truth that she and her friend together killed her husband, they put his body in a drum and placed cement on top of it. I took her to the Police station and asked her to tell the truth...that's how the case got solved. The verdict, in this case, should come fast and I don't want anything less than capital punishment for her...what she did is very wrong...my son-in-law should get justice," Muskan's father Pramod told ANI.

Muskan's mother further claimed that her daughter used to hide a lot of things, and suspected that if she was brainwashed or did drugs. " I want to tell all the children out there that never hide anything from your parents. My child has committed a big mistake. I used to ask her continuously what the problem was, but she kept losing weight; she had lost 10 kg in 2 years. She hid a lot of things from us and that's why she is in jail today. We have no idea if she was brainwashed or did drugs...had she shared something with us, she wouldn't have been in this condition, "Muskan's mother Kavita told ANI.

The family of Saurabh Rajput have made a major claim believing that occult practices played a key role in the crime. However, police have not yet confirmed these claims. Where Rajput's mother Renu Devi told the news agency PTI, "Both Muskaan and Sahil were into occult practices. They killed my son by performing tantric rituals."

Muskan’s parents, Kavita and Pramod Rastogi alleged that Sahil manipulated their daughter through these rituals, keeping her under his control and isolating her from her six-year-old daughter.

Saurabh Rajput was reportedly drugged and then stabbed by Muskan and Sahil on March 4. His body was dismembered, placed in a drum, and sealed with cement. The accused then took a trip to Himachal Pradesh, misleading Rajput’s family by sending messages from his phone.

Later, the matter was reported to police on March 18, after which Muskan and Sahil were apprehended.

"Sahil's occult practices dominated Muskaan's mind in such a way that she started keeping her six-year-old daughter away. Sahil had made Muskaan an addict and completely superstitious," the deceased's mother said, PTI reported.

Neighbours described Sahil as frequently wearing yellow and black kurtas with "Mahakal" inscriptions and having multiple tattoos of religious and mystical symbols. His room was reportedly filled with eerie imagery, including sketches of ominous figures.

"Many other scary images have also been found in Sahil's room. He used to go out only to feed cats and the lights in his room remained switched off most of the time," a neighbour added.

Muskan Claims Sahil Maniputed Her

In the meantime, Muskan's statements to police disclosed that Sahil was involved in manipulating her to commit the murder, claiming it was needed to begin their new life together.

The police source said, "Muskan has made it clear in her statements that Sahil had said that 'you will have to kill Saurabh, only then we can start a new life'."

"Sahil got Muskan to kill her husband. First, he made her sit on Saurabh's chest. Then he brought a knife from the kitchen, showed her how to wield it, and directed her to insert the knife in Saurabh's heart thrice. When Muskan could not bring herself to use the knife, Sahil held her hand and made her stab an unconscious Saurabh in the heart thrice," the source added.

When asked about the claims over the alleged involvement of occult practices in the case, Ayush Vikaram Singh, Superintendent of Police (City), replied, "All aspects of the case are being looked into."
