These holidays include weekend holidays of Saturdays and Sundays, which are typically non-trading days for the market. This holiday list is available on the BSE website under the ‘Trading Holidays’ section. Investors should only rely on the official list to schedule their stock market trades.
In December, the stock market will remain closed for ten days. Further, the stock market will also observe a holiday on December 25, 2024 to celebrate the festival of Christmas.

This holiday calendar is issued for the whole year and the holiday list for 2025 will be revealed soon by the stock exchange.
Notably, in the last trading session on Friday, the key equity benchmark indices registered a recovery after witnessing buying in frontline stocks Bharti Airtel and Reliance Industries. The BSE Sensex soared more than 750 points to settle trading above 79,800, while the NSE Nifty50 rallied more than 200 points to close the session above 24,100.
