New Delhi: Shark Tank India has found more than one way to entertain viewers as the popular business reality show has triggered meme fest in social media on most days.

Recently, the show transcended boundaries to find mention in the official Instagram account of English football club Manchester City that posted a meme featuring Portuguese player João Cancelo with the catchy lines of the investor from the show Aman Gupta.

Gupta, the co-founder of BoAt, has become known for saying the lines, “Haan main de dunga, tu tension mat le (Yes, I will give you the money, don’t stress)” on the show.

The Instagram post captioned the meme with the photo of the Portuguese player saying, “When João is asked about his next @mancity assist #SharkTankIndia”. The post garnered a lot of reactions with people wondering if the admin is an Indian.

For the uninitiated, the show is all about entrepreneurs making business presentations to a team of seven investors or ‘sharks’, who decide whether the business is worth their investment.is an Indian. 

First launched in Japan in 2001 as ‘Tigers of Money’ on Nippon TV, the show format was adapted by the UK in 2005 and it was called Dragon’s Den there. The US then picked it up in 2009 and is running its 13th season now.

The show has given chance to budding entrepreneurs to pitch their business ideas to a panel of judges, who approve their proposals for investment.

Telecasted on Sony Entertainment Television, the show in its last leg has succeeded in ‘edutaining’ its viewers with its revolutionary format, which it proudly promotes as ‘Badalte Bharat Ki Nayi Soch’.

The comments from the 'sharks' in the show have turned into memes as the show became popular. The first season of Shark Tank India had its finale on Friday. 

The seven judges on Shark Tank India are Ashneer Grover of BharatPe, Namita Thapar of Emcure Pharma, Anupam Mittal of Shaadi.com, Vineeta Singh of Sugar Cosmetics, Ghazal Alagh of Mamaearth, Peyush Bansal of Lenskart, and Aman Gupta of Boat.
