PM Modi Uses Paytm QR At Vishwakarma Crafts Exhibition, Showcases Trust In Fintech's Pioneering Innovations For Small Merchants

Recently, Paytm expanded its innovative payment solutions with the launch of India’s first next-generation device, the Paytm NFC Card Soundbox

Prime Minister Narendra Modi demonstrated the power of mobile payments by making a purchase using Paytm's QR code seamlessly on Friday, to pay a local artisan. This highlights how mobile payments can enhance traditional craftsmanship.

During his visit to Wardha, Maharashtra, Prime Minister Modi participated in the National ‘PM Vishwakarma’ Programme, marking one year of progress under the PM Vishwakarma Yojana, underscoring the government's commitment to fostering artisans and promoting their work.

As PM Modi bought an artefact of Bhagwan Jagannath from a Vishwakarma craftsman and paid via Paytm QR, it showcased not only the significance of the crafts but also the role of fintech in empowering small merchants and fostering increased trust in mobile payments.

Paytm, India’s leading payments and financial services distribution company and the pioneer of QR codes, soundboxes, and mobile payments, plays a vital role in empowering small merchants across India by offering innovative payment solutions that enhance their business operations.

With a focus on enabling uninterrupted payments, Paytm provides small shop owners with reliable, consistent service, ensuring they can conduct transactions smoothly. The Paytm QR code allows merchants to accept payments instantly, reducing the dependency on cash and improving overall transaction efficiency.

Recently, Paytm expanded its innovative payment solutions with the launch of India’s first next-generation device, the Paytm NFC Card Soundbox. This device combines NFC technology with mobile QR payments, providing an affordable and versatile solution for card payments to millions of offline merchants.

Paytm’s user-friendly interface and extensive support network across the country ensure that even the smallest businesses can adopt mobile payment solutions with ease. By facilitating access to technology, Paytm not only boosts the income of small merchants but also contributes to the larger vision of a cashless economy. The company is on a mission to bring half-a-billion Indians into the mainstream economy through technology-driven services.

As demonstrated by PM Modi’s visit, supporting artisans and small business owners through innovative payment solutions is essential for fostering economic growth and preserving India's rich cultural heritage.
