Farming News: Patanjali Claims Its Farming Model Is Empowering Farmers & Healing The Soil. Here's How
Farming Tips: Patanjali claims that its agricultural initiative promotes sustainable farming, focusing on organic practices, soil health, and the economic well-being of farmers.

Farming News: Patanjali Ayurved claims it has launched a new revolution in India’s agricultural sector—one that not only strengthens the economic condition of farmers by promoting sustainable agriculture but also prioritises environmental protection and soil health. According to the company, this initiative by Patanjali is being seen as a transformative step toward sustainable agriculture. Let’s understand why.
Patanjali stated that its primary focus is on organic farming, which reduces the use of chemical fertilisers and pesticides, thereby regenerating soil fertility. The company says, “Through projects like the Patanjali Kisan Samriddhi Programme, farmers are trained in modern techniques of organic farming. This not only helps them improve the quality of their crops but also reduces production costs and increases income. This initiative helps maintain soil health in the long term, which is the foundation of sustainable farming.”
Organic Products Improve Chemical Composition – Patanjali
Additionally, Patanjali claims to have developed organic products such as organic fertiliser, Jaivik Subhoomi, and Dharti Ka Chowkidar, which improve the physical and chemical composition of soil. These products contain natural elements like humic acid and mycorrhiza, which enhance the crop’s resistance to diseases. This is not only environmentally friendly but also frees farmers from dependence on chemical fertilisers, making their farming economically viable.
Empowering the Rural Economy – Patanjali
Patanjali says, “This initiative by the company also plays a significant role in empowering the rural economy. Through fair trade practices, farmers are ensured better prices for their produce, which increases their income. Alongside, Patanjali is working towards making farmers self-reliant by providing digital literacy and market access. This model not only benefits individual farmers but also boosts employment generation and economic development within local communities.”
