RobotEra, IMPT, Cocky: Top 2022 NFT Collections You Can Check Out
Hedz from the Pepe Frog creator, MetaBlaze, and more on our list.
Non-fungible tokens, or NFTs, saw a great boost in popularity during the Covid-induced lockdowns. A couple of years later, NFTs still remain lucrative among investors, with a market cap of $2.4 billion at the time of writing (as per CoinMarketCap data). While popular collections such as Bored Ape Yacht Club (BAYC) and CryptoPunks sit at the top in terms of popularity and trading volume, there were several promising new collections that broke cover in 2022. Here’s a quick look at some of the most talked about NFT collections of 2022 that are worth checking out.
RobotEra
RobotEra (TARO) brings together metaverse and sandbox elements together in a way that doesn’t only capture the imagination of investors, but of avid Web3 gamers as well. In the game, you play as a robot, who acquires resources and builds the world around it. You can collaborate with others, from arranging rock concerts to opening a museum. Whatever you create, can become an NFT, and RobotEra also lets you connect with other NFT communities and build a brand new metaverse as you see fit. The first stage of its presale went live in November.

IMPT
The Ethereum Merge this year proved to be the first major step towards an eco-friendly, green blockchain. IMPT follows in a similar path. The IMPT protocol lets users earn and trade carbon credits, which in turn leads to companies offsetting their carbon emissions by providing funds for conservation projects. One carbon credit is equal to one tonne of greenhouse gas released. IMPT helps transform these carbon credits into NFTs which can be traded or held as needed.
Cocky
This one is for music enthusiasts. Or rather, for ones who love attending musical concerts. Cocky plans to hold two live events each year, alongside regular virtual lifestyle/musical events. Cocky Can NFT owner will get automatic access to these events. There are a total of 10,000 tokens with 51 unique skins and three coloured lids. These lids represent the class of benefits owners can get at the events, including the likes of accommodation, bar tabs, and more. Additionally, one lucky owner will win mega benefits such as business class flight tickets, luxury resort accommodation, meet-and-greet with artists, and more.

MetaBlaze
While other play-to-earn games let players win rewards in the form of native tokens, MetaBlaze takes things a step further by announcing a pool of rewards that will let users collect major crypto coins such as Bitcoin, Ethereum, and Solana as their wins. There are 10,000 MetaGoblin NFTs to collect from, divided into four tiers — Mystical, Epic, Legendary, and Rare Kings — all with their own set of unique benefits.
Hedz
Have you seen Pepe the Frog memes? Well, its creator Matt Furie has launched his own NFT collection and it’s getting all the hype as it was expected to garner. There are only 1,000 hand-drawn NFTs to choose from. The limited set makes the collection even more rare and in turn, lucrative for NFT hunters across the globe. Unlike other collections on this list, Hedz doesn’t really offer any benefits per se, which makes this collection a classic-yet-new NFT series to explore and collect for true token aficionados.
