Anand Mahindra Praises Aaryan Shukla For Breaking 6 Guinness World Records In A Day; Check His Response

Shukla responded to Mahindra’s post and wrote, “Thank you very much Sir. I am a Mental Calculator (Human Calculator). The technique is called "Flash Anzan""

Anand Mahindra, Chairman of the Mahindra Group, praised 14-year-old math prodigy Aaryan Shukla for his incredible achievement of setting six Guinness World Records in a single day. In February, Aaryan, from Maharashtra, made history by breaking these records during a mental math competition in Dubai, showing exceptional calculation abilities.

Mahindra took to X (formerly Twitter) on Tuesday to share his admiration and wrote, “14-year-old Aaryan Shukla from India, last month broke the world record for the Fastest time to mentally add 100 four-digit numbers – 30.9 sec. Leaves you dazed & bewildered. Congratulations Aaryan! I’ve seen some videos before of kids using this technique where the hands are used, in some way, to aid calculation.”

“I’m sure Aaryan has a special gift beyond the ordinary, but are there any sites which give a primer on the fundamentals of this technique? I’m not looking to break any world record. Maybe I can use it for some simple, daily business calculations!” Mahindra added.

Shukla responded to Mahindra’s post and wrote, “Thank you very much Sir. I am a Mental Calculator (Human Calculator). The technique is called "Flash Anzan" where you have to process the numbers flashing on the screen at lightning speed. The base is Abacus. While I have been training for last 8 years to achieve this. Thanks!”

I just do it naturally. Basically, it’s so fast that you can’t think, you just need to do the calculations.”

His mother reflected on his early accomplishments, recalling, “At the age of 8, we went for an international competition, and he won medals and trophies, which were great achievements.” She also mentioned that Aaryan is now a founding board member of the Global Mental Calculators Association (GMCA).
