'Reaching Top Is Easy, Staying There Is Not,' Says Gautam Hari Singhania At ABP India@2047 Summit

ABP India at 2047 Summit: The Indian textile sector is as rich and diverse as the nation’s culture, said Gautam Hari Singhania, Chairman and Managing Director of Raymond, during his address at the ABP India @ 2047 Summit on Tuesday. He added that even today, the charkha and khadi remain powerful symbols of India’s spirit of revolution and self-reliance.

Speaking about Raymond, he noted that today, Raymond has a presence in 55 countries, serving as a global ambassador of India’s modern, evolving identity. Raymond’s journey reflects the evolution of India itself, and I see the textile industry not merely as a fabric business, but as a wellspring of possibilities and a beacon of growth, he said.

"Reaching the top is easy; staying there is the real challenge. Raymond continues to remain relevant across every segment of society, and we are extremely proud of that," said Singhania while talking about Raymond's journey of 100 years and still being one of the top brands in India.

Sharing his take on the global trade tensions sparked by US President Donald Trump's tariff hikes, he said, "I don’t believe these are difficult times, I see them as the most opportunistic. We may never get a chance like this again in our lifetime. There’s always an opportunity hidden within a crisis. While a pessimist sees only the problem, an optimist focuses on the potential opportunities."
