Tata Safari Dark Edition Launched in India - Know Price & Features

The Safari Dark interior gets a new Nappa Granite Black colour scheme with Blue Tri Arrow Perforations and Blue Stitching.

New Delhi: Tata has given its Safari the Dark edition treatment just like the Harrier, Nexon and the Altroz some time back. The Dark edition has been popular with removing chrome along with having a deep black colour which certainly makes the Safari even better looking.

For many Black is a popular colour option while requiring more maintenance but adds to the appeal.

With the Safari Dark, it gets an Oberon Black exterior body colour plus mascots on the fender and the tailgate as well as the 18 inch Blackstone alloy wheels. There are black accents including a black grille which to our eyes looks sportier over the chrome grille.

In-fact chrome has been completely removed from the Safari Dark edition. Inside it is as dark as it gets with a new look interior finished in... you guessed it, black. The Safari Dark edition gets dark finishes, special Blackstone Matrix dashboard and new Dark upholstery.

Speaking of the upholstery bit, the Safari Dark interior gets a new Nappa Granite Black colour scheme with Blue Tri Arrow Perforations and Blue Stitching. With the Dark edition, there are feature additions too like Ventilated Seats on both 1st and 2nd Row, Air purifier and Android Auto & Apple Carplay over Wi-Fi.

There is no change with the engine which is a new 2.0l turbo diesel with a 6-speed manual or a 6-speed torque converter automatic gearbox. Some features offered on the Safari Gold edition are also here while the overall features list includes  a wireless charger, JBL audio system, panoramic sunroof, connected car tech and more.

Available on the XT+/XTA+ & XZ+/XZA+ trims, the Safari Dark edition is priced at Rs 20-60,000 higher than the standard Safari trims.
