Tata Curvv Diesel Vs Hyundai Creta Vs Kia Seltos: How Their Specs Compare
The Curvv will have a 1.5 L diesel engine, which is the norm in this segment. The Creta and Seltos will also have a 1.5 litre diesel unit.
The Curvv comes at a time when the compact SUV segment is already brimming with competition, especially since two of the highest-selling SUVs, the Seltos and the Creta received extensive facelifts. Now, with Tata Curvv coming into the fray, competition would be even tougher, but would bring in more choices for the buyer. Here is how the three compare against one another.
Which Is Bigger?
All SUVs sit in the above-4 m space. While the Curvv has a length of 4,308 mm, the Creta measures 4,330mm. The Seltos is 4,365mm long. In terms of width, the Curvv sits at the top of the list with 1,810 mm, while the Creta and Seltos are poised below it at 1,790 mm and 1,800 mm, respectively. The Curvv here has a wheelbase of 2560mm, while the Creta and Seltos both have a wheelbase 2,610 mm.
Which Car Doles Out The Most Power?
The Curvv will have a 1.5 L diesel engine, which is the norm in this segment. The Creta and Seltos will also have a 1.5 litre diesel unit. The Curvv diesel has a power of 115bhp along with a torque of 260Nm. The Creta and Seltos both develop 115bhp and also have 250Nm. Tata has only confirmed a 6-speed manual on the Curvv while an AMT could also come while the Creta and Seltos diesel get a 6-speed manual and a torque converter.
What About Features?
Tata has not revealed the full features list of the Curvv, but going by the Nexon, we expect the Curvv to be well-equipped also. Hence, it will get the segment basics like a sunroof, digital dials, 360-degree camera, connected car tech, and more. It will also get a premium 8-speaker JBL audio system and will match the likes of the Creta and Seltos in including a premium audio system. However, with the new Creta and Seltos getting dual-zone climate control and ADAS, it remains to be seen whether the Curvv will also get it.
