Tata Altroz DCA Automatic Is Here, To Compete With Baleno AMT, i20 DCT
Bookings have started at Rs 21,000 while the DCA would be available in the top three variants - XT, XZ, and XZ+ of 1.2 L Revotron petrol engine.
New Delhi: Tata has revealed more details about its upcoming launch which is the Altroz DCA. That is the name of the automatic Altroz which will be launched around the end of this month.
The Altroz DCA is basically the DCT automatic version of the Altroz. The DCT or a dual-clutch automatic will come with a wet clutch along with being available with only the 1.2 l petrol engine. There is also the more powerful turbo petrol but that engine will continue to come with a manual as the DCT will add a lot to the price of the car.
Hence, the Altroz DCA would be available with the smaller output 1.2 l engine. However, that move makes sense since the standard 1.2 l Altroz has been the more popular option and that needs an automatic gearbox more than the turbo petrol.
Bookings have started at Rs 21,000 while the DCA would be available in the top three variants - XT, XZ, and XZ+ of 1.2 L Revotron petrol engine.
Along with that, a new colour has also been added to the DCA range called New Opera Blue. Other colour options would be Downtown Red, Arcade Grey, Avenue White and Harbour Blue colour.
The DCA will also be available as a Dark edition as is the rest of the Altroz range. The Altroz DCA will compete with the Baleno AMT- a recent launch and the i20 which gives either an option of a CVT automatic or a DCT also like the Altroz. However, the 1.2 l i20 gets a CVT option and the DCT is for the top-end 1.0 l turbo petrol. The DCA Altroz is expected to carry a price increase of up to a lakh over the manual Altroz.
