New Maruti Swift 2024: The new generation Maruti Suzuki Swift is due for launch soon, while the question is how much bigger the new model is when compared to the older one. The Swift has been one of the most popular models for Maruti Suzuki and the arrival of the new model is indeed a big launch.

In terms of dimensions, the new Swift has a length of 3,860 mm while it has a width of 1,735 mm along with a height of 1,495 mm. In comparison to the new Swift, the older generation model is slightly shorter. Infact the new generation Swift is 15mm longer and is also 30mm taller. However, it is also slightly narrower which would mean that it is even better suited for our roads now.

Interestingly, the wheelbase is the same as the current Swift with the figure being 2,450 mm. The new Swift has the Heartect platform which is also the same as the current Swift but the global model has had an overhaul of the underbody’s structure and component layout but details regarding the India spec version is unknown for now and more details are going to be known within the months to come.

In terms of powertrains, there is a new three-cylinder petrol engine which will replace the current one with more efficiency while the global model has a mild hybrid system too. Compared to the older petrol engine, there is more torque but again we are awaiting the final specs of the India specification model though.

The new Swift is coming to India by June and would be sold via the Arena dealerships with more features than the current Swift thanks to an added technology suite like more connected car tech, a bigger touchscreen and a 360 degree camera.
