The new XUV700 is all new and features the latest Mahindra design language which has evolved including that unique front-end along with the DRL standing out.
Mahindra has revealed the much-awaited XUV700. The XUV700 is its most premium SUV yet and is its first product to wear its new logo for the SUV range. There has been a long wait for the XUV700 but that is now over and yes, it looks big and is dripping with presence as you would expect.
The new XUV700 is all new and features the latest Mahindra design language which has evolved including that unique front-end along with the DRL standing out. There is a lot of muscle also in the design along with a slightly sloping rear and huge tail-lamps too. There are some neat details including 'Smart door handles' which pop out and auto booster headlamps which automatically switch on to boost the headlamps.
The interior is even more impressive and unlike anything else we have seen from Mahindra. It looks like it belongs to a luxury car with twin displays including the one in front of the driver.
These are dual HD screens and will include the AdrenoX informatic and also being India's first vehicle to integrate Alexa Voice AI. By simply asking Alexa, XUV700 customers can control vehicle functions including windows and cabin temperature, play music, listen to audiobooks, get directions, check traffic, manage their smart home, find parking, and more.
Other features include a massive panoramic roof called as a Sky roof being 1360mm in length and 870mm in breadth. The feature list does not end there as it gets a dual-zone climate control, e-SIM embedded for connected tech with real-time updates and more. Another interesting feature is the Sony 3d sound system which gets roof-mounted speakers included in the 12 custom-built speakers.
When it comes to engine options, the XUV700 comes across as the most powerful SUV with huge power outs with its 2.0l turbo petrol and 2.2l diesel. The gearbox options include a 6-speed torque converter and a 6-speed manual with both engines. The XUV700 diesel will also get drive modes called as 'Zip', 'Zap' and 'Zoom'.
Further tech included autonomous features like adaptive cruise control and more. There would be two variant series- MX and Adrenox series with more features. The launch would be around October while we will get to know prices then. Stay tuned to our first-drive review though- that's coming in a few days!
