Kia Carens Facelift To Get More Features While Engines Remain The Same

The interiors and exteriors would be getting the biggest update with a tweaked front-end with the latest design language as seen on the newer Kia cars while the interiors would get more features

Kia is readying its Carens facelift for launch and it will be sold alongside the current model at a higher price point. The new Carens model would be an update and will come with the latest new infotainment system as seen on the Carnival and Syros as well as the new look steering wheel design. The interiors and exteriors would be getting the biggest update with a tweaked front-end with the latest design language as seen on the newer Kia cars while the interiors would get more features.

Hence, expect a 360 degree camera, Level 2 ADAS, new trim and upholstery options plus more. The engine options though would be kept the same as this update would be cosmetic only. Hence, the new Carens will have the 1.5l petrol, 1.5l turbo petrol unit and the 1.5l diesel with automatic options with all of the engines. It remains to be seen though whether there would be an iMT option also offered this time or not. The new Carens could also have a larger panoramic sunroof as well along with a larger touchscreen.

With this new model, the prices would increase as this is positioned higher and there would be a gap between this and the older Carens too. With this premium positioning, the new Carens would be placed against 3 row SUVs too like the Hyundai Alcazar and the Mahindra XUV700 plus others. We will bring more details regarding the new Kia Carens leading up to its launch in the first half of May.
