Is Skoda Kylaq A Shrunken Kushaq? Here's A First Look
New details have been revealed with the fact that it will get 6 way adjustable ventilated seats for both the driver and passenger
Skoda has revealed more details of its upcoming Kylaq sub 4m SUV which will make its debut on the 6th of November. The Kylaq is based on the made for India platform as seen with the larger Kushaq and the Slavia. The focus on costs and high localisation was also a point and the Kylaq would be the most affordable Skoda SUV but would be reasonably equipped to fight rivals.
New details have been revealed with the fact that it will get 6 way adjustable ventilated seats for both the driver and passenger. Other features could include a 360 degree camera and ADAS plus more.
The space on offer will be less than the Kushaq but it remains to be seen how it compares to its rivals notably the spacious XUV 3XO. The Kylaq will also come with a standard sunroof and not a panoramic one as seen with the XUV 3XO and the Nexon. Other details include 189 mm ground clearance and a 1.0 TSI with 114 bhp with automatic plus manual options. Unlike the Kushaq there would be no 1.5 TSI on offer with a DSG automatic gearbox as the Kylaq will get a 1.0 TSI only.
The power figure seems to be less than rivals at 115 bhp where the Nexon develops 120 and the XUV 3XO has 131hp. Design wise while under camouflage, the Kylaq obviously is a bit like a shrunken Kushaq with its design but there could be some different design details to make it stand out. It is clear that competition is very tough for the Kylaq since there is already the Maruti Brezza, Hyundai Venue plus the Mahindra XUV 3XO and the Tata Nexon of course which means the Kylaq would have to stand out which remains to be seen.
