Hyundai Creta Gets 6 Airbags As Standard While Venue Gets More Powerful Diesel Engine

When it comes to the Venue, it now gets 4-Airbags (Driver, Passenger & Side) as standard safety fitment on variants – S (O), SX & SX (O).

Hyundai India has updated its SUV range with the Creta SUV getting 6 airbags as standard plus ESC, VSM, HAC, Rear Disc Brakes, Seat Belt Height Adjustment and ISOFIX. Along with the Creta, the Alcazar also gets  6-Airbags (Driver, Passenger, Side & Curtain) as standard. Further, the Creta gets 60:40 Split Rear Seat as a standard too.

All Hyundai SUVs also get Idle Stop & Go (ISG) features which will bring more fuel efficiency. Even the engines are now RDE compliant and are also E20 fuel ready. When it comes to the Venue, it now gets 4-Airbags (Driver, Passenger & Side) as standard safety fitment on variants – S (O), SX & SX (O).

Talking of mechanical updates, the Venue now gets a diesel engine with a more powerful 1.5l diesel engine with 116PS and 250Nm. The older 1.5l diesel with 100 bhp has been replaced now and this is a lot more powerful while being one of the new subcompact SUVs in its class to get a diesel engine. The new diesel engine is similar to the other Hyundai models getting this engine too.

With these updates the Creta is now more value for money while the Venue gets an added advantage of a diesel engine too. The engines are more efficient as well while meeting stricter emission norms.

Crucially, the engines are also E2O compliant where the engine can run on ethanol blended fuel which adds flexibility. These stricter norms would be coming in from April 2023 and as a result cars would get more expensive. Prices of the new Creta and others have also risen as  a result with diesel engines requiring to be updated heavily to meet these new norms.
