Honda Shows e:N Series Electric SUV In Shanghai
Honda plans to begin sales of production models based on this concept model before the end of 2024.
Honda has shown a bevy of new electric cars in Shanghai including two prototype cars and one concept car. The line-up includes e:NP2 and e:NS2 while there is also a new electric SUV which is in the works for the China market.
Honda aims to electrify its range by 2035 and this series of EVs are the start of that. Of most interest includes the e:N SUV 序 and that has a rakish design theme and showcases the future of Honda cars. Honda plans to begin sales of production models based on this concept model before the end of 2024.
This new e:N Series model could also spawn new models for different markets as well. As the first based on the “e:N Architecture W” developed exclusively for e:N Series EV models, the SUV has a different look with a blanked-off grille along with simple but sleek proportions.

There is a sharply curved roofline and EV spec alloy wheels along with digital mirrors as well. There is a thin strip of DRL that also edges out. The e:N SUV 序 also gets AI-powered connected car technology features while the interior has not been revealed. The other products include a coupe SUV-like crossover while there is also a sleek sedan concept.
Honda will instead launch the compact SUV for the Indian market soon in a few months’ time and that would be its made-for-India SUV which will come with a 1.5 l petrol engine with CVT and manual gearbox options. The Honda SUV for India will be crucial for the brand while in the future we can also expect electric cars to come to India from Honda although right now the focus is on the upcoming SUV.
