Aston Martin DBX Launched In India - Take A Look At Some Stunning Images

The grille is the biggest that Aston has made but it looks good while the design is curvaceous with bulging lines plus of course having the Aston Martin trademark headlamps.

New Delhi: Aston Martin is known for making sports cars and also being the car of choice for a certain secret agent known as James Bond! Now the car-maker has launched its SUV in India called the DBX. Take a look at the images of the car below. The DBX is the first SUV of Aston Martin and is an important product since the company has even made a new factory for it.

In terms of size the DBX is quite big but the stunning design hides that very well. It is not some SUV with an Aston Martin badge as it has been designed with the company signature design elements being added in. The grille is the biggest that Aston has made but it looks good while the design is curvaceous with bulging lines plus of course having the Aston Martin trademark headlamps.

The front is imposing but you do recognise this as an Aston Martin. The side and rear view is also interesting as somehow Aston has managed to put in the traditional look of its sports cars here. The way the roof flows to the roof spoiler along with the flowing tail-lamps- it all looks fantastic. The rear styling is also influenced by the Vantage sports car hence having that crucial family look. Plus you cannot miss those giant 22inch wheels which look proportionate and are a piece of art in itself! In short this is quite possibly the most beautiful SUV today as it trades traditional SUV design with sports-car like finesse.

If the looks are a success the interior was more of a challenge since the DBX had to be spacious and it is. The frameless doors open and reveal a superb cabin with plenty of space. The rear seats offer enough comfort but the front is where you need to be as the interior is a lesson in design and craftsmanship. The reason you are paying those crores is visible here with an interior filled with wood, leather, metal and glass. Everything is hand-stitched and it looks wonderful. Even the speaker grille is covered in leather along with the sunroof bind and even the headlining is covered in Alcantara. Lovely.

There are new materials used including a new fabric (with 80 percent wool infused) while due to customizations, you can pretty much change the interior according to your tastes. Along with all that luxury you also get a 10.25 inch TFT screen in the middle along with a 12.3 inch TFT screen for the instrument cluster. You get pretty much everything as you would expect in terms of basic features plus a panoramic sunroof,  360-degree camera system and 64 ambient lighting plus more.

The DBX is a big SUV and to power that you also need a big engine, which it has. Under that massive hood is a 4-litre, twin-turbocharged V8 engine with 550PS and 700NM of torque. It gets a nine-speed torque convertor automatic gearbox and an all-wheel drive system. Having air suspension as standard, you can raise the DBX or lower it too. Plus you can also tune the exhaust sound. Less glamorous but important bits include 632 litres of boot space and 40:20:40 split folding rear seats. The DBX has been launched in India with a base price of Rs 3.82 cr without options. Yes that is expensive but then all good things in life are right?

Pros - Looks, quality, performance, craftsmanship, sound, practicality

Cons - Expensive
