Tough Time For Love & Marriages? This Is How Mercury Retrograde Can Cause Mayhem In Relationships

Retrograde happens three to four times a year and during this time, people are believed to experience disruptions, such as misunderstandings, travel delays, and technical issues.

While scrolling your Instagram feed, there is a 50 per cent chance of you encountering a reel on 'Mercury Retrograde'. The complex term which many may be hearing for the first time can give you a tough time in love and relationships. This time, the retrograde will be effective till April 7.

The Planetary Society explains that a planet moves in the opposite direction each night when in retrograde. "The same thing happens when Earth catches up to and overtakes a slower-moving outer planet. Mars, for example, usually shows up a little farther to the east every night relative to the background stars," it mentions.

What Is Mercury Retrograde?

Mercury retrograde is an optical illusion where the planet seems to move backwards in the sky, but it's not actually moving backwards in its orbit around the sun.

In astrology, Mercury governs communication, travel and technology. Retrograde happens three to four times a year and during this time, people are believed to experience disruptions, such as misunderstandings, travel delays, and technical issues.

Each Mercury retrograde affects zodiac signs differently, depending on the sign it occurs in. For example, a retrograde in Aries might lead to impulsive decisions, while one in Pisces could cause confusion and introspection.

What To Do During Mercury Retrograde?

Experts suggest remaining flexible, patient, and understanding, and avoiding signing onto any new contracts that one is unsure of during this period. They also ask people to double-check email responses and check in with reservations before you take that trip.

They add that signing legal documents like prenups and divorce papers can be risky during this time. Zodiacs affected by the retrograde may say the wrong thing at the wrong time, send an awkward text, or double-book plans.

As per Horoscope.com, astrologers advise against jumping into a new relationship or taking a huge step in a current relationship.

They advise people to be understanding of their children's moods and sensitive to their needs since they can't express frustration like adults.
