  • According to the Panchang, Sarva Pitru Amavasya will begin on October 1, 2024, at 9:39 PM and will end on October 3, 2024, at 12:18 PM.
  • In Hinduism, Amavasya is considered valid based on the Udaya Tithi. Therefore, this year, Amavasya will be on October 2, 2024, according to the Udaya Tithi.

Solar Eclipse On Sarva Pitru Amavasya

This year, a solar eclipse will cast its shadow on Sarva Pitru Amavasya. The solar eclipse will occur from 9:40 PM on October 1 to 3:17 AM on October 2. However, since it will take place at night, it will not be visible in India. Therefore, the solar eclipse will not hinder the rituals of tarpan and shradh on Sarva Pitru Amavasya.

Auspicious Alignments on Sarva Pitru Amavasya

This year, three auspicious yogas will occur on Sarva Pitru Amavasya. Brahma Yoga will begin in the morning and last until 3:22 AM on October 3. Following that, Indra Yoga will take place. Additionally, Sarvartha Siddhi Yoga will begin at 12:23 PM and continue until 6:15 AM on October 3.
