No Talk On Politics, He Wanted To Know About Father's Case: Chandrababu Naidu's Son On Meeting With Shah

N Chandrababu Naidu's son Nara Lokesh has said that his meeting with Union Home Minister Amit Shah was about his father's arrest in a "fake" case and nothing on politics was discussed in the same.

Telugu Desam Party (TDP) General Secretary Nara Lokesh has put an end to the speculations of any political developments that made news after he met Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Wednesday (October 11). The son of former Andhra Pradesh CM N Chandrababu Naidu told ABP Live that there was no discussion on any matter related to politics during the talks between the two. He said that Amit Shah wanted to meet him to know about his father's case and what stage it has reached. Notably, Naidu was arrested by CID in an alleged multi-crore skill development corporation case last month.

On the day of his meeting with Amit Shah, he shared pictures of the same and said, "Met with the Hon’ble Union Home Minister
@AmitShah Ji and apprised him of the blatant misuse of state machinery by YSRCP Govt in Andhra Pradesh, the regime revenge against Hon’ble @ncbn Garu, and the appalling condition in which he has been lodged in prison where his life is under threat. #FalseCasesAgainstNaidu."

Nara Lokesh said that he was informed by Union Minister G Kishan Reddy that Shah had called him for a meeting and he talked about his father's case only. Lokesh said he informed the Home Minister about the health of his father and his case. He told about his father being in judicial custody for 34 days in a "fake" case.

He apprised Shah of Naidu's continuously deteriorating health due to his old age. During the discussion, he did not discuss any kind of politics or other issues other than the case. At the last stage of the conversation, Amit Bhai Saheb (Union Home Minister Amit Shah) wished for the better health of Baba Saheb (former Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu).

He also said that Babu Saheb (Chandrababu Naidu) has been doing politics with complete credibility and transparency for 45 years and not only the Telugu-speaking state but the entire country knows "how Babu Saheb is".

He informed Shah about the cases registered against Naidu. He said that right now, there are four cases against him and claimed all are fake. One is an attempt to murder, the second is Inner Ring Road case, third is a fire brigade and now a skill development corporation, he told Shah.

Lokesh claimed that no evidence was found against them because they have not done anything wrong. "We have applied for bail in the High Court and the hearing is on the 17th of this month. I am sure that just as the British sent Gandhi Saheb or Nelson Mandela to jail, they sent Babu Saheb to jail, and he will come out equally clean," he added.

He rejected the rumours of having discussed any kind of political developments with the Home Minister.

In a post on Friday, Lokesh said there was a threat to his father's life and claimed that Naidu was being "deliberately" harmed, adding that CM YS Jagan Mohan Reddy would be responsible if anything happened to his father.

"There is an undeniable and immediate threat to former CM & TDP chief N Chandrababu Naidu's life. He is being deliberately harmed. His safety is unquestionably at risk. He is facing a dire situation, dealing with mosquitoes, contaminated water, weight loss, infections, and allergies, all without access to timely medical assistance. The Government of Andhra Pradesh is trying to administer steroids to him," he said.

"What is it that the Government doctors and administration are trying to hide? If any harm befalls @ncbn garu, @ysjagan will be responsible," he added.
