Andhra High Court Grants Bail To Former CM Chandrababu Naidu In Inner Ring Road & Two Other Cases

Additionally, Andhra Pradesh High Court ordered former CM Chandrababu Naidu not to mention matters related to the case anywhere in public meetings and media platforms.

The court also directed Naidu to actively cooperate with the ongoing investigations.

On September 9 last year, Naidu was arrested by state Crime Investigation Department (CID) in relation to the skill development case. Subsequently, he was lodged in Rajahmundry Central Jail from September 10 to October 31.

The case relates to the purported misappropriation of funds from Andhra Pradesh State Skill Development Corporation (APSSDC), resulting in a financial loss exceeding Rs 300 crore to the state government.

Naidu has consistently maintained his innocence, vehemently denying any wrongdoing. He has further asserted that the legal actions taken against him are driven by political motives, suggesting that the cases brought against him are a product of political vendetta.

In November last year, the high court extended bail to Telugu Desam Party (TDP) chief in connection with the skill development scam case.

Meanwhile, Naidu has started to campaign for Lok Sabha and Assembly polls in the state.
