Andhra Pradesh: MLA Sidda Reddy Faces Backlash During YSRCP's 'Gadapa Gadapaku' Programme

CM Jagan urged YSRCP party leaders to conduct 'Gadapa Gadapaku' programme.

YSRCP MLA Sidda Reddy faces massive protests during the party's recently-launched 'Gadapa Gadapaku' programme in Andhra Pradesh's Kadiri on Wednesday. MLA Sidda Reddy, however, had to leave the place to avoid the people's revolt. 'Gadapa Gadapaku Mana Prabhutvam' is a programme spearheaded by CM Jagan Mohan Reddy. As part of the programme, YSRCP leaders were asked to go door to door and explain the government's schemes to people and how they were benefitted in the last three years.

According to ABP Desam's report, Gollapalli villagers prevented MLA Sidda Reddy from entering the village. The Villagers said, "MLA, Siddareddy, who came to our village as part of the election campaign, promised to build an overhead tank and ensure water connections. But he didn't care for three years. He did nothing even though our village have several issues."

Earlier, Andhra Pradesh CM Jagan Mohan Reddy urged YSRCP leaders to go door to door and implementing the 'Gadapa Gadapaku Mana Prabhutvam' programme across the state.

CM Jagan urged YSRCP party leaders to take up 'Gadapa Gadapaku' programme eyeing a massive victory in the Andhra Pradesh Assembly elections. He asked the leaders to take up the programme to explain to people the state government's schemes and how the people got benefitted from ruling YSRCP's welfare schemes.

He further emphasised that during their visits to the villages, the leaders should solve the people's problems, and funds will be sanctioned to villages and the ward secretariat.

CM Jagan said that the 'Gadapa Gadapaku' programme should be carried out in earnest for 16 days a month. Addressing party leaders in a meeting earlier this month, he said, "There are no shortcuts, and every leader should take part for at least 16 days in a month and tell people about the government's welfare activities."

Earlier, the chief minister ordered the councillors to ensure that the program is implemented in six wards every month. He further asked them to proactively promote the YSRCP's agenda as they have been entrusted. To ensure that the program is qualitatively implemented, Jagan has ordered the formation of committees which will supervise the same in each district.
