Andhra Pradesh CM Jagan Reddy Directs Officials To Provide Rs 2,000, Relief Kits To Flood Victims

CM Jagan mentioned that there is no need to step back while doing good work

Hyderabad: Andhra Pradesh CM YS Jagan Mohan Reddy reviewed the Godavari floods and relief programs on Monday. He ordered the officials to provide Rs 2,000 and ration to the flood-affected families in the next 48 hours. The officials have been advised to estimate property and crop losses within ten days after the flood recedes.

In a video conference from the Secretariat with the District Collectors and senior officials, CM Jagan mentioned that there is no need to step back while doing good work. Some people are spreading bad propaganda against YSRCP despite working tirelessly, said Jagan.

Godavari's flood is gradually receding. In the review conducted on floods, the Collectors and senior officials were advised to intensify the flood relief programmes. CM Jagan instructed officials to give each family a relief kit of 25 kilos of rice and one kg each of potatoes, onions, palm oil and jaggery. He also instructed officials to give Rs 2,000 per household or Rs 1,000 per person at the relief camps.

CM Jagan has directed the officials to move forward without paying attention to the criticisms and accusations levelled against them by the opposition while doing good for the people. He said the burden is on the senior officials to speed up the relief operations in the Godavari flood-affected areas and provide regular services to the victims.
