Andhra Pradesh CM Jagan Mohan Reddy Welcomes Governor-Designate Justice Abdul Nazeer

The Chief Minister introduced the dignitaries who attended the ceremonial reception to the Governor-designate

Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy extended a hearty welcome to Andhra Pradesh Governor-designate Justice (Retd.) S Abdul Nazeer at the ceremonial reception organised in his honour at Raj Bhavan.

The Chief Minister welcomed the Governor-designate and his family members, on their arrival from Delhi. The Chief Minister introduced the dignitaries who attended the ceremonial reception to the Governor-designate.

Earlier on Wednesday, YS Jagan Mohan Reddy welcomed Governor-designate Abdul Nazir at Gannavaram Airport. Minister Jogiramesh, Council Chairman Moshen Raju, MLC Arun Kumar, Principal Secretary to Governor Anil Kumar, CS Jawahar Reddy, DGP Rajendranath Reddy were among those who welcomed.

As reported earlier, retired Supreme Court judge Nazeer was appointed governor of Andhra Pradesh while the current Andhra Pradesh governor Biswa Bhusan Harichandan has been appointed as the governor of Chhattisgarh.

Justice Nazeer, who retired on January 4, has been part of several path-breaking verdicts, including those on the politically sensitive Ayodhya land dispute, instant 'Triple Talaq' and the one that declared the 'Right to Privacy' a fundamental right.
