Andhra Pradesh: CBI Files Charge Sheet Against 4 Accused In Former MP YS Vivekanand Reddy's Murder Case

Hyderabad: Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has filed a charge sheet against four accused in the Court of Judicial Magistrate Pulivendula in Andhra Pradesh's Kadapa district, related to the murder of a former member of Parliament YS Vivekanand Reddy.
Reddy, former Member of Parliament and Andhra Pradesh CM YS Jagan Mohan Reddy's uncle, was brutally murdered in March 2019 at his residence in Pulivendula, Just ahead of the general elections.

Andhra Pradesh police and other agencies have investigated the case for almost 18 months before handing it over to the CBI on July 9, 2020. According to a report in Time of India, the CBI has arrested two accused -- Sunil Yadav and Umashankar Reddy -- in the case. Both the accused are close aides to the slain former MP.
The first accused in the case was arrested about 90 days ago. According to the report, the interim charge sheet was filed to comply with the 90-day deadline after the arrest of the accused.
