Rashtriya Janata Dal's Dr. Rajesh Kumar won Kesaria assembly seat in 2015 Bihar Assembly Elections by a margin of 15947 votes. Runner-up Rajendra Prasad Gupta of Bharatiya Janata Party bagged 46955 votes. Third position was held by Communist Party of India's Ram Saran Prasad Yadav while Neeta Sharma of Independent held the fourth spot.
