Runner-up Chandra Bhushan Verma of Bharat Lok Shiksha Parishad bagged 44646 votes. Third position was held by Communist Party of India (Marxist–Leninist) Liberation's Raja Ram Singh while Som Prakash of SPL held the fourth spot.
