Dinara is a State Assembly/Vidhan Sabha constituency which is a part of the Buxar Lok Sabha seat.
Janata Dal (United)'s Jai Kumar Singh won Dinara assembly seat in 2015 Bihar Assembly Elections by a margin of 2691 votes. Runner-up Rajendra Prasad Singh of Bharatiya Janata Party bagged 62008 votes. Third position was held by Shiv Sena's Binod Kumar Choubey while Sunil Kumar Paswan of Independent held the fourth spot.
