US Secy of State Tillerson, Canadian PM to meet in Ottawa to talk N Korea

Ottawa [Canada], Dec 14 (ANI): United States Secretary of State Rex Tillerson will travel to Ottawa next week to discuss North Korea's nuclear programne with Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, as international tensions over Pyongyang's actions ramp up.

According to iPolitics, Tillerson also is expected to meet with Canadian Foreign Affairs Minister Chrystia Freeland during his one-day visit.

Tillerson is expected to arrive in the nation's capital on December 19, local media reported.

The visit comes ahead of an international diplomatic summit on the North Korea crisis in Vancouver in January, which Canada and the United States are set to co-host.

In recent weeks, North Korea has fired nuclear missiles over Japan as it works to strengthen its nuclear programme. (ANI)
