President Kovind bestowed with Equitorial Guinea's highest civilian honour

Malabo [Equatorial Guinea], Apr 8 (ANI): President Ram Nath Kovind was conferred with the Condecoracion, the highest honour accorded to a non-citizen by the government of Equatorial Guinea here on Sunday.

President Kovind was bestowed with the medal of the Gran Colar de la Independencia by his counterpart Teodoro Obiang Nguema Mbasogo, for his contribution to the cause of development, security and world peace.

President Kovind arrived at the capital of Equatorial Guinea as a part of his three-nation Africa tour.This is the first time ever that a head of state from India is visiting Equatorial Guinea.

Earlier today, the President, who is accompanied by his wife and First Lady Savita Kovind, was received by Equatorial Guinean President Teodoro Obiang Nguema Mbasogo. (ANI)
