Israel launched an attack on Iran on Saturday morning, targeting Iranian military bases. Following the strike, Israel issued a statement explaining that they had been under continuous assault from Iran and its allies for some time, prompting a counterattack. Israel affirmed its commitment to defending its nation and people, saying, "We will do whatever it takes to protect our country and people." Israel informed the United States about the attack, and the U.S. has been monitoring the situation closely. IDF spokesperson Rear Admiral Daniel Hagari stated, "In response to Iranian attacks, Israel is targeting their military bases. Since October 7, 2023, Iran and its regional allies have been attacking Israel on seven fronts. Israel has the right to respond, and we will do whatever is necessary to safeguard our country and our people."
